1. Should I size or prep my wall?
Yes! In all circumstances.
2. What product is the best to use?
On drywall or painted plaster use acrylic primer.
On bare plaster use Prime with Paint Primer Sealer and then use acrylic wallpaper primer prior to wallpapering.
3. Where should I start my paper?
The starting point is not nearly as critical as the finishing point. The paper should come together at the narrowest and most inconspicuous spot. In most instances the paper rarely makes a pattern match at the completion point.
4. How high should I place my border?
Adjust it to your tastes and room reuirements. Room splits should, under normal circumstances, approach the middle of the wall. Most installations have the best appeal when splits are approximately 2/3 and 1/3. Borders often show very well when laid on the top edge of the baseboards, at the ceiling lines or as much as 2.5 feet down from the ceiling.
